Today, I visited with my friend and colleague Jenny Hite, owner of Wee Dreamscapes in Rockwall Texas, where she graciously hosted our monthly meeting of the Interior Design Society.
Two years ago, Jenny opened Wee Dreamscapes, offering nursery furniture and bedding. A wonderful boutique filled with everything to “Deck out the Nursery”.
According to Jenny, custom bedding is the number one request from expectant mothers. So WD has excelled in this area and the store has a loyal customer following from areas near and far. They offer a good variety of fabrics to choose from, but if you can’t find it there, Jenny will search until she finds it for you. The custom bedding is made on site in their small workroom. The quality is wonderful and amazingly economical. A 4-piece crib set averages only $500, which includes the blanket, bumper, crib skirt and sheet.
But we’re not talking pink and blue anymore! Today’s parents are opting for bold patterns and bold colors in bold pattern combinations.
Of course a classic is a classic!
