A room is not complete without the final touches, because it’s those final details, the accessorizing, that give character and life to the room. It’s also what makes a room feel “complete”, as was the case with this McKinney master bedroom.
Everything was there for a functional bedroom, what took it over the top was the accessorizing. A few specifically chosen, strategically placed accessories that made a big difference.
This master bedroom needed to be totally pet friendly, both for canine and feline family members who enjoy relaxing on the foot of the bed or the bench. The gray-blue Matelasse cover at the foot of the bed serves to protect the white duvet cover while adding color and texture to the bed.
Instead of a fabric window treatments, we installed shutters with 4.5″ louvers that take full advantage of the gorgeous McKinney view. The shutters also provide total darkness for longer sleeping in when the alarm is not important.
The 2 chairs were placed facing each other, which also allows you to enjoy the beautiful view.
